Postura Project | Wear something Filipino everyday.

The hope for the Postura Project is to become a portal for Filipino branded fashion and locally inspired looks. Started by four fashionalism advocates Arriane Serafico, Knox Balbastro, Sarah Meier, and David Guison, it has a very simple mission. To get fellow Filipinos to start wearing something Filipino everyday.

To kick-start the movement, they are posing a challenge to themselves- to wear something Filipino everyday, for one whole month. This is to show how they’re loud and proud, and they firmly believe that “Made in the Philippines” can be young, fun, and fashionable. They show how it takes very little effort to incorporate a piece of Philippine fashion into your everyday outfit.

Send your own inspired look at Postura Project.

Thank you BBDO Guerrero

Usually when someone leave a company the common practice is they leave one last email addressed to ‘all’. Writing their thank you and good byes. I was still somewhat busy around the time of my last days in BBDO Guerrero and I wasn’t able to do this. Here’s my chance.

Thank you

My now ex-clients. Jojo, John, Tina, Steve, Winston, Malcolm, Laura, Shelly, Dean and all your managers. For believing in our ideas.

Studio department: Jun, Randy, Noel, for all the late nights working on our storyboards.

The messengers. For going above and beyond the call of duty. And try to use Fixed Gears.

To the guards. For keeping us safe.

Nelo. Restart.

Final Art Department: Cielo, Manny, Oliver, Vilma and Joy, for making those great final art on our print ads, posters, banners, flyers, sales kits, you name it. You all did a cool job at making out comps look even better.

Y-Com. I don't know how I would have survived the last three year without you all.

Production: Jing, Ino, Anj, Idda, Aldous, Al, Zeth, Xerg, JP L. For being people we can lean on when the timeline and budgets were leaning on us creatives.

The Account team: For barring with my ‘kasungitan’. Because of you I realized I can’t multitask - I can’t be art directing, photoshopping etc while listening to Ombet telling me about a problem which he has already solved.

To Rachel, Raymund, Eia, Meggy, Fran P., Knox, Red, Rey and Jao. For listening even if I didn’t know how to spell the headline I was suggesting.

To Dennis, Garry, Ian, Tim, JP, Ley, Corey, Karen, Claren, Monica, Sugar and Dale for being some of the best art directors and designers in town.

My Squad. Jeck, Rizza and Nikki. Kayo ang ‘Elvis’ sa buhay ko sa BBDO Guerrero. Continue to SHINE.

Jayr. For signing all those checks for awards.

Fran G. We never got to run.

Tony H. For your wisdom.

David. For giving me a chance.

Tin. For everything.

And so I move to LOWE Malaysia

Here' s the article released by Adobo Magazine.

Brandie Tan joins Lowe Malaysia as executive creative director

ASIA-PACIFIC - MALAYSIA, FEBRUARY 6, 2012: Multiple award-winning Filipino creative director joins Lowe Malaysia as executive creative director.
Managing director Khairudin Rahim confirmed the appointment today. Tan will start in his new role on February 15.
Considered as one of the Philippines' top creatives, Tan has a collection of metals under his belt from Cannes, Clio, D&AD, The One Show, Spikes
Asia, London International, Asian AdFest, AWARD Awards, DMA Echo, Digital Media Awards, Caples, the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards, the local Araw Awards and the Philippine Creative Guild Kidlat Awards, across all media, covering TV, print, radio, direct marketing, digital, outdoor and integrated.
The Philippines got its first gold in Cannes Lions through JWT Manila's Lotus Spa radio campaign, the people behind the award were brandie tan, Dave Ferrer, Tin Sanchez, and Hit Productions.
Tan joins Lowe Malaysia after a stint at BBDO Guerrero as executive creative director, prior to which he was Lowe Vietnam's joint-ECD.
In his role as Lowe Malaysia ECD, he will be tasked with driving a multi-disciplined approach for a truly integrated creative product.
"I've often worked on materials for Malaysia at a regional level. Now I'm excited to be working from within the country. Khairudin's
experience and guidance, along with the Lowe Asia-Pacific network, will make it a fun new challenge," says Tan confirming his move.
Tan has led business-building integrated campaigns for numerous clients including Johnson & Johnson, FedEx, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Bayer, Visa, Ford,
Adidas, Nestle, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Bayan Telecommunications and Pfizer.
“Brandie joins us at a very opportune time in the evolution of Lowe in Malaysia. Last year, we marked our 50th anniversary in Malaysia, with a series of new clients like F&N Dairies, PlayTV Asia and a private university, plus new assignments from long-standing clients like Etiqa, Walls, IKEA and Unilever," says Rahim.
“It's great to see Filipino creative talent getting the recognition it deserves. And we wish him every success in his new role," BBDO Guerrero's chief creative officer David Guerrero said on Tan's move.
“It is sad to lose a genuine talent, like Brandie, who has been part of the fabric for so long here. However, we are genuinely proud that not only other networks but other countries feel that they would like to borrow the talent from BBDO Guerrero. We wish him every success; he deserves it," says Tony Harris, CEO of BBDO Guerrero.
“Our focus, as always, will be about building powerful ideas that put our clients’ brand into the heart of popular culture, on and off line. We have
been looking far and wide for someone who will not just help us deliver that, but be a strong and inspiring leader to the agency. Brandie is well worth the wait. Not only does he have a cupboard full of awards, he also shares our effectiveness mantra and is driven by great integration," says Rahim.

It's more fun in the Philippines

Our team at BBDO Guerrero has been working on this campaign for almost half a year now. It's a good feeling to now be able to talk about it. The Department of Tourism campaign must have been the most secret projects we've ever worked on. We couldn't even tell the other teams what we were doing.

Below is the campaign line and logo. Above it is the local initiative. Thank you to Andre Harabara for agreeing to let us use your typeface. Even though our accounts managers had to use Google Translate to chat with you.

We're still working on the rest of the campaign. Sometimes it feels we can rest now and let the Filipino social media do the rest of the wrok for us. Work must go on. Hope you all like the coming work as much as you liked the line and logo.

Cheers to the team! David Guerrero, Tin Sanchez, Meggy De Guzman, Jao Bautista, Cory Cruz, Jeck Ebreo, Ian Sta. Maria, Bixie Reyes, Leah Mababangloob, Eia Garcia, Karen Gosingan, Claren Tores, Nikki Golez, Manny Nepomoceno, Rosh Nandwani, Marissa Manaloto, Xerg Aguilar, JP Loh, Cristina Buenaventura, Eileen Boromeo, Tony Harris, Francine Khan-Gonzales, Ombet Traspe, Pao Acosta, Iking Uy, Lory Zara Jing Abellera, Ino Magno. The design team, Sugar Perez, Rizza Garcia and Monica Angeles. (I'm sure I forgot one team member or two, including myself.)

And thank you Secretary Mon Jimenez for the opportunity to get to work with you.
